My internet always starts with Google Mail and Google Reader, always the leftmost tabs in my Firefox. In fact, my favourite feature in Firefox 2 just breeds this behaviour. My browser sessions last weeks.
I really can’t say recommend Google Reader enough, though. It’s in my view the first really good implementation of an RSS reader and, surprisingly (I’ve been using this internet thing for what, 7 years now?), has totally taken over my morning “Reading the Intertubes” routine. I’ve gone from BBC/Slashdot/Boing Boing/Ars Technica, closely followed by a spasm of webcomics, to 44 blogs.
I think the UI could still be tweaked tho. Colour coding different entires from different feeds, and definitely more star options, tho I imagine we’re supposed to use tags for that.
